January 3... Squak Mountain State Park.  Tony and I took the dogs on this trail.  Did 4 miles.  Pretty and green.  Trail length was 7 miles round trip.  I'll have to go back on my own soon. January 2010... Snowshoeing at Sun Mountain Lodge near Winthrop, WA.  Also, walking at Grande Vista Ranch at Carlton, WA Weekdays.  Walks with the dogs around the neighborhood.  Yes... this counts!  On our March 9 walk I saw an eagle... slowly circling in front of me for about 10 minutes.  It was grand to see! Last week in January.... Cissy and Ted came up for a visit.  I took them to Skagit Valley, Deception Pass, and we all spent three days on the Olympic Peninsula.  Hiked at Deception Pass, to Sol Duc Falls, Rialto Beach, Cape Flattery, Shi Shi Beach, Dungeness Spit.  Tony was a trooper as he did all this hiking with us!!   Great time!! Middle February... walked around lake at Wandering Creek with new friend... 95 year old Bonnie!! Middle February... walked from Bothell to Woodinville on Sammamish Slough with Cathy... saw large number of crows settling down to roost in trees along the trail.  Noisy bunch! Feb 20.... snowshoed around Mazama Ridge area of Mt. Baker with Cathy and Tim.  Wonderful patterns in the snow from the wind. Feb 21.... Tony and I walked the dogs on trails at Paradise Valley Park near Maltby... we let the dogs off their leashes and it's such fun watching them run.  They come back when we call, and then take off again.  They have big smiles and us too! Monday, March 1.... an invitation from Susan to join her and two of her friends to walk around the Arboretum to see the winter garden, etc.... and lunch afterwards.   I went early and took pictures and afterwards, met the girls for a walk.  A nice outing as I seldom do such as that with "the girls". March 4 - 7... long weekend in Winthrop at hot air balloon festival.  Walked into town with the group.  Susan and I walked around Sun Mt. Lodge a little.  Chased balloons down : ) Read More
